Synopsis

Lili Marletti was a Cine-Citta superstar in the 1960’s who starred in iconic black and white movies from the golden age of Italian cinema. Yet despite all her fame, her three surviving middle-aged daughters can barely make ends meet living off her dwindling estate. Luckily The House of Baladour, a French luxury cosmetic company is interested in licensing her portfolio for their upcoming marketing campaign. The three sisters have finally caught a breather. They won’t have to get a job after all. They spend lavishly and recklessly their advance and some before being unceremoniously dumped by the House of Balladour. Sexual norms of beauty and attractiveness have changed radically since the 1960s and demographic testing shows that Lili Marletti is no longer relevant to a younger generation. The House of Balladour is terribly sorry but they must move on. The sisters, desperate and now beyond broke, are willing to try a Hail Mary scheme concocted by their aging Italian agent. Can they bring back Lili Marletti with a twist and nod to today’s gender fluid tastes. They are willing to try anything but when they meet their mother’s transgender look-alike, they are in for more than they bargained for.
